Wes Giles Memorial Color Guard Reservation - Application for use of AVER "Wes Giles"
Color Guard The AVER Color Guard has been serving the GLBT community for years. Most often seen in "Pride Parades" throughout Texas. The "brain child" of Wes Giles, a former Executive Director of the Gay & Lesbian Community Center, former Chairman and Co-Chairman of San Antonio Pridefest, and always active in GLBT rights, Wes Giles passed away in mid-2006 and the Color Guard was renamed the "Wes Giles Memorial Color Guard" in his honor - after all he started it the Color Guard! If you would like to reserve the AVER Color Guard for your special event, please send us an Email with the details (time/date/Place/Services Needed) PLEASE NOTE: If presenting Colors for the event, AVER provides a CD with the National Anthem (However, we cannot provide sound equipment) We also have "Taps", "America The Beautiful" and other patriotic songs. For simple respect, the playing of the National Anthem is REQUIRED to present the Colors.
